Remote Opportunity About the Role We're seeking a skilled and experienced full stack software engineer to lead our emsCharts development team. The emsCharts SaaS application features a comprehensive suite of modules vital for EMS agencies to manage their daily operations effectively. Your primary responsibility will be to create, enhance, and maintain applications that empower First Responders in the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) sector. As a key member of a cross-functional agile team, you will work across various layers of the application stack, from backend business logic to crafting dynamic user interfaces. You will actively contribute to advancing our product by collaborating with your team to deliver outcomes that not only satisfy our customers but also instill pride in your work. Our users play a critical role in saving lives, and it is our mission to provide them with tools that enable quick and efficient action. Key Responsibilities: • Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, UX designers, and fellow engineers to develop effective solutions. • Participate in all aspects of .NET/web-based product delivery, including planning, design, development, code reviews, testing, and production support. • Lead the design of significant features within the system and partner with stakeholders to solve complex engineering challenges. • Mentor junior team members, guiding their professional growth and enhancing team productivity. • Create and review code for quality, structure, security, performance, and alignment with best practices. • Ensure timely delivery of assignments while adhering to quality standards and agile methodologies. • Follow ZOLL engineering standards for UI development, database access, documentation, and development processes. • Assist operations teams in troubleshooting and resolving high-priority customer issues. • Monitor production incidents to maintain high availability of software in use. Qualifications: • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. • 5+ years of experience as a Full Stack engineer in a professional ASP.NET environment. Skills and Experience: • Proven ability to deliver customer-facing web applications on time utilizing dynamic web UI frameworks and .NET C#. • Expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web-based UI frameworks. • Experience with AWS technologies (EC2, ECS, S3, Lambdas) or similar Azure constructs. • Strong knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL), SQL, and stored procedure languages (PL/SQL, T-SQL). • Familiarity with modern version control systems and CI/CD tools like Git, BitBucket, and TeamCity. • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like CloudFormation or Terraform. • Proficient in writing automated tests (unit tests, API integrations) and understanding mocking frameworks. • Strong desire to solve real business problems creatively and collaboratively. • Prior experience providing technical leadership to engineering teams. • In-depth knowledge of Agile development principles and practices. • Willingness to troubleshoot and address defects in legacy code. Bonus Skills: • Experience with ColdFusion. • Familiarity with SaaS-based reporting and analytics products. • Understanding of the clinical domain or experience with EMS. • Knowledge of AI technologies and product integration.
