**Overview:** Akkodis is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to work on a contract basis with a client in Hamilton Township, NJ. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for architecting and implementing end-to-end Microsoft Fabric solutions, designing and deploying AI models using Azure OpenAI Service, and integrating Copilot solutions across the Microsoft ecosystem. **Responsibilities:** • Architect and implement end-to-end Microsoft Fabric solutions including Data Factory, OneLake, Lakehouse, and Power BI for scalable data analytics. * Design and deploy AI models using Azure AI Foundry and Azure OpenAI Service, integrating Copilot solutions across the Microsoft ecosystem. * Build and optimize data pipelines from diverse sources (SQL, APIs, Salesforce, Oracle, Dynamics) and implement medallion architecture (bronze, silver, gold). * Develop real-time streaming analytics using Event Streams and KQL databases, ensuring high performance and reliability. * Establish governance and DevOps practices using Microsoft Purview, CI/CD pipelines, and RBAC for secure and compliant data operations. * Lead technical workshops and mentor junior engineers, translating complex solutions into business value and contributing to enterprise AI strategy. **Qualifications:** • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Data Engineering, or a related field. * Minimum of 8+ years in data engineering with a strong focus on cloud-native architecture, preferably on Microsoft Azure. * Proven hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric components including Data Factory, OneLake, Lakehouse, and Power BI. * Demonstrated ability to design and deploy AI models using Azure OpenAI Service and integrate Copilot solutions across Microsoft platforms. **Benefits:** • Competitive hourly rate: $49.00 to $53.00 • Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits, and a 401K plan • Paid leave including Paid Sick Leave or any other paid leave required by Federal, State, or local law, as well as Holiday pay where applicable • Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled
