Solution Architect (.NET / Azure) The experience expected from applicants, as well as additional skills and qualifications needed for this job are listed below. Optomi, in partnership with, a leading insurance provider, is seeking a Solution Architect to sit in their Charlotte, NC or Hartford, CT office! There is a hybrid structure of 2 days on site in the office, with flexibility for working from home. They are looking for a strategic Solution Architect who ensures alignment across enterprise architects, tech leads, and product teams by driving secure, scalable, and high-performance solutions. The role focuses on understanding evolving enterprise architecture patterns, guiding strategy over hands-on coding, and translating business direction into technical roadmaps. Ideal candidates bring a strong technical background, SAFe experience, and preferably P&C or financial services expertise, with the ability to navigate large, complex applications and environments. This person will not be hands-on coding! Experience of the Right Candidate : • 7+ years in applications development and 3+ years in architecture roles. • Proficiency with modern cloud technologies and experience in high-volume transactional environments. • Strong background in application and architectural design patterns, object-oriented design, and software development best practices. • Knowledge of modern web technologies, .NET / C#, relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, DB2), web application platforms, and Azure cloud services. • Proven experience as a technical lead, mentoring teams, and influencing other technical leaders. • Excellent communication skills, able to engage both technical and business audiences. • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science (or related field) or equivalent experience. • Experience in P&C Insurance preferred. Responsibilities of the Right Candidate: • Design application solutions emphasizing scalability, performance, availability, security, and reuse in a .NET/C# and Azure Cloud environment. • Develop and maintain architecture diagrams and artifacts, applying and promoting best practices. • Provide architectural guidance on cloud migration, adoption of native cloud services, and system integrations. • Collaborate with enterprise architects, delivery managers, and agile teams (SAFe) to align strategy with delivery. • Mentor and advise development teams on architecture standards, design patterns, and technical solutions. • Evaluate, recommend, and lead proof of concepts for new technologies and packaged solutions.
