Release Manager with Dev Ops' Location: Washington, DC Onsite Requirement: Minimum 3 days per week Longterm Contract Key Responsibilities: • Release Pipeline Architecture & Management: Design, build, and maintain scalable, automated CI/CD pipelines for various applications, ensuring seamless integration, testing, and deployment. • Mentorship & Guidance: Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior engineers and cross-functional teams on DevOps and release management best practices. • Compliance & Security: Ensure all release processes adhere to industry best practices, internal standards, and regulatory compliance requirements. Integrate security best practices into the release pipeline (DevSecOps). • Troubleshooting & Incident Response: Lead the effort in troubleshooting and resolving complex deployment and release-related issues, minimizing downtime and impact on end-users. • Risk Management & Mitigation: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate release-related risks. Develop and implement effective contingency and rollback strategies. Qualifications: Experience: • 5-10+ years of progressive experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Release Engineering. • Proven track record of designing, implementing, and managing complex CI/CD pipelines. • Extensive experience in release management methodologies and best practices. • Experience working within financial services or highly regulated environments is a strong plus. Technical Skills: • CI/CD Tools: Expertise with Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms. • Cloud Platforms: Proficient with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. • Containerization & Orchestration: Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes. • IaC & Configuration Management: Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet. • Scripting & Programming: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, PowerShell. • Version Control: Deep understanding of Git and branching strategies (e.g., Gitflow). • Monitoring & Logging: Experience with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Splunk, ELK Stack. • Operating Systems: In-depth knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows. • Security: Familiarity with DevSecOps principles and tools.
