Genesis10 is seeking a Contract Database Administrator HYBRID in Milwaukee, WI. This role is with a finance company and is a 6+ month contract to hire position. Monitor current databases and database servers for performance, stability, and scalability Develop and implement improvement plans for performance and standards Communicate and collaborate with project delivery teams to ensure implementation of best practices and continuous improvement Build, configure, and administer new database servers, databases, objects, and ETL as required Work in a 24x7 support environment, participate in an on-call rotation, and respond to client needs in Service Desk tickets Investigate and learn new and emerging database technologies (e.g. Azure data technologies) with an eye to selecting and implementing the right solution for project teams and the business Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field preferred with 2+ years' experience in a technical role with Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Reporting Services Demonstrates working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, and Powershell Demonstrates experience with and interest in Cloud and next-Generation data technologies (e.g. Azure Data Services, PowerBI, , SSAS Tabular, etc.).
