Job Description Seeking a skilled Azure SQL DBA with hands-on experience managing Azure SQL Server, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL, especially across Azure-managed database services. The ideal candidate will implement, administer, and optimize cloud-based relational and NoSQL databases, ensuring security, performance, and continuity for mission-critical workloads. Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain production and development Azure SQL, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL environments using Azure managed database services. Monitor and tune database performance, proactively addressing bottlenecks, security threats, and availability issues. Implement robust backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions tailored for cloud database platforms. Manage user roles, access controls, and compliance per company and regulatory standards. Automate routine database tasks using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or other scripting solutions. Support database migrations, upgrades, patching, and high-availability/cloud-native disaster recovery strategies. Collaborate with architects, cloud engineers, and application teams to deliver scalable and cost-effective data platform solutions. Create and maintain documentation for standard operating procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting. Stay up to date with Azure advancements and emerging cloud-native database management best practices. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 3+ years' experience as a SQL Server DBA, with direct Azure SQL Database administration exposure. Proven hands-on experience with Azure Managed Services for SQL, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL. Solid knowledge of disaster recovery, high availability, automation, and monitoring in cloud environments. Proficiency in T-SQL, PowerShell, and scripting for automation. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills. Preferred Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate. Experience with AWS RDS, Google Cloud SQL, or cross-cloud architectures. Exposure to NoSQL platforms beyond MongoDB. Familiarity with data governance and compliance in regulated environments.
