Job Summary The Maps & Data Operations Coordinator's role is responsible for keeping the company informed of new maps and geospatial data offerings from publishers, then coordinating with publishers to curate maps/data/information for company platforms (e.g. GGL), organizing the information, and handling portions of the procurement process. Helps maintain the supply network and is responsible for synchronizing the company's internal product metadata database with its business management platform. Additionally, this role supports the royalty process, calculating and reporting to suppliers. The Maps & Data Operations Coordinator's role also includes the support of customer accounts setup and the maintenance of content on company platforms. This position plays a vital role in the extract, transform, and load process of content to platforms by coordinating the organization and proper structure of metadata and files, performing quality checks, and uploading information to company platforms. Essential Job Functions: • Global Online/Web Research for (and where available download/harvesting of) • Maps and Geospatial Data & Metadata • Mapping Web Services • Commercial Geospatial Products • Open-Source Data • Map Publisher and Data Supplier outreach and communication • Inquire about new products, metadata, and other general questions • Coordinate research gathering with EVG field procurement officers and agents • Procurement of both strategic and ad hoc maps, charts, and data to fulfill customer orders and push forward company initiatives • Royalty reporting and maintenance of royalty reporting information • Creation and maintenance of customers, customer subscriptions, packages, and content presets within operation systems (Backoffice and Dashboard) • Carry out the extraction, transform, and load process from EVG's metadata database (GDC) to the company's business management platform (NetSuite) • Support the addition of new products into business management platform (NetSuite) • Help maintain the physical and digital storage of EVG supplier/publisher contracts and agreements Qualifications: Education - Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, or related field Expereince and/or Training • 1+ years working with maps, geospatial data, or related content in a professional or educational setting • 2+ years of using Microsoft Office products in a professional or educational environment • 1 + years of working with ERP/CRM systems • Understanding of maps, map series, and geospatial information concepts Technology/Equipment - experience in GIS maps, database management, scripting, web scraping, advanced internet searching, preferred.
