We are looking for a Senior Lead MS SQL Server Database Architect to join our talented team. In this role, you will collaborate with an experienced professional services team to assist customers in migrating to and operating within various Cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), focusing specifically on data and databases. Key Responsibilities: • Work closely with colleagues and clients to tackle data-related challenges. • Evaluate and resolve sizing, performance, and configuration issues. • Plan and implement data migrations, individually or as part of larger cloud migration initiatives. • Modernize database platforms (from MSSQL/Oracle to PgSQL/Aurora). • Design and develop data lakes and ETL pipelines. • Provide expert consulting guidance to customers and prospects, and assist colleagues in preparing Statements of Work. Who You Are: You are passionate about technology and the myriad opportunities the public cloud presents. You enjoy helping customers resolve current issues while proactively identifying new challenges. Additionally, you possess: Minimum Qualifications: • A BA/BS Degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience (in diverse database administration and architecture). Alternatively, a MS degree with 6 years of relevant experience, a Ph.D. with 3 years of experience, or 12 years of relevant experience without a degree. • At least 3 years of experience in public cloud environments. • Specialty/Intermediate level AWS and/or Azure data certifications (such as AWS Database Specialty, DP-100, DP-203, DP-300, DP-500). • Expert-level knowledge and hands-on experience with MS SQL Server and one additional database platform (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB/CosmosDB) in both on-premises and cloud environments (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, etc.). • Experience with ETL tools to effectively manage data flows in and out of databases and data warehouses/data lakes. • Intermediate experience with Infrastructure-as-Code implementations (such as ARM, CloudFormation, Terraform). • Familiarity with Identity and Access models in on-prem (Active Directory), public cloud (AWS IAM, Azure AD), and in-schema contexts. • Hands-on experience with migration tools like backup/restore, log shipping/mirroring, Always On Availability Groups, AWS Database Migration Service, Schema Conversion Tool, Azure Migrate, or Azure Data Migration Assistant. Preferred Qualifications: • Professional/Expert level Cloud Architecture certification (such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, AZ-305). • Intermediate to expert level experience with commercial analytics or data warehousing platforms like Databricks, Snowflake, RedShift, or Azure DataLake. • Experience with AI/ML applications and pipelines. • Industry familiarity in sectors such as Healthcare/HealthTech, Financial Services/FinTech, SaaS, or E-Commerce is highly desirable. Salary Range: USD 144,900.00 - 241,500.00 per year Compensation: The compensation package includes a base salary ranging from $144,900.00 to $241,500.00, which may vary based on factors such as the position's location and the selected candidate's qualifications. Additional compensation opportunities may include incentive programs. Benefits: The company provides eligible employees with flexible vacation policies, allowing them to take paid time off as needed, along with seven paid holidays per year. Employees can accrue up to 160 hours of paid wellness time annually for themselves or family members.
