Mid-Level Solutions Architect with strong expertise in Azure Synapse, Power BI, and data warehousing to design, implement, and optimize modern data solutions for our federal and commercial clients. This role will bridge business needs and technical delivery, ensuring data platforms are scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise analytics strategies. Key Responsibilities • Solution Design – Architect end-to-end data solutions leveraging Azure Synapse, Power BI, and data warehousing best practices. Design cloud-based applications, build and manage data pipelines, create interactive dashboards, and develop APIs/microservices for seamless integration. Lead teams to build prototypes. • Requirements Gathering – Collaborate with stakeholders to capture business requirements and translate them into technical designs. • Data Modeling – Develop logical and physical data models optimized for performance, scalability, and reporting needs. • Integration & ETL/ELT – Guide the design of ingestion, transformation, and integration pipelines to consolidate disparate data sources. • Dashboard & Reporting Strategy – Oversee the development of Power BI dashboards that deliver actionable insights at executive and operational levels. • Performance Optimization – Monitor and fine-tune data pipelines, warehouse queries, and reporting solutions for efficiency and cost control. • Governance & Security – Ensure solutions comply with organizational data governance, security, and compliance requirements (including federal mandates when applicable). • Collaboration – Work closely with developers, data engineers, and business analysts to ensure solutions meet both technical and business needs. Required Qualifications • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience). • Experience: • 5+ years in data architecture, BI, or analytics roles. • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics and Power BI. • Proven track record designing and implementing data warehouse solutions in cloud environments. • Must have expertise in Azure or AWS solution architecture, SAP Data Warehouse, SAP BOBJ, BI, data analytics, Synapse, MySQL, SQL Server, SSIS packages, and integrating SAP BusinessObjects with Azure and other analytics solutions. • Built end to end applications on AWS • Strong understanding of data modeling techniques (star schema, snowflake, etc.) and SQL performance tuning. • Experience with data integration from multiple structured and unstructured sources. • Knowledge of data governance principles and compliance frameworks. Preferred Qualifications • Experience in federal government data projects. • Familiarity with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, or similar modern data platforms. • Understanding of security and compliance requirements in regulated environments (e.g., FedRAMP, FISMA). Must be able to go through Public Trust clearance process.
