Job Summary We are seeking a Senior Systems Administrator who can take ownership of complex IT environments and confidently serve as an escalation point for our Help Desk team (Internally we call this position Senior Network Technician, but Senior Systems Administrator describes it better for external candidates). This role requires deep expertise across servers, networking, cloud, voice and security. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on problem solver who can handle projects from design to deployment, while also guiding junior technicians. Our ideal candidate has impeccable attention to detail as well as strong communication and execution skills. We’re looking for someone who is meticulous, thorough, and efficient. Multi-tasking and organizational skills are a must. Duties and Responsibilities · Design, implement, and maintain infrastructures including Windows Server, Azure, and Microsoft 365 · Design, implement, and maintain network environments including firewalls, routers, switches · Provide escalation-level support for complex server, systems, and networking issues · Document client environments, implement best practices, and recommend infrastructure improvements · Guide clients with professionalism, confidence, and composure through technical challenges · Accurately track and document all work performed in the help desk system · Maintain high positive client and user satisfaction and relationships What We’re Looking For · Deep understanding of security and how all changes impact security · Strong networking knowledge (firewalls, VLANs, VPNs, SD-WAN) · Strong expertise in Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, Entra ID) · Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure and Windows Server · Working knowledge of PowerShell scripting · Logical, methodical problem-solver with strong troubleshooting skills · Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences · Experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment is preferred but not required · Certifications from Microsoft, Cisco, or CompTIA preferred but not required · Strong typing skills · Ability to lift 50 pounds Traits for Best Fit · Must be hungry and ready to learn about IT · Must be teachable · Must have great attention to detail · Must have great communication skills and understanding of customer service · Must have great time management skills · Must be results-focused and team-oriented with a strong work ethic · Must have strong time management skills · Must be able to prioritize in a multi-task environment Benefits and Perks · Comprehensive medical and dental plans · Retirement plan with company match · Generous PTO and paid holidays · Certification reimbursement and continuing education support · Company-sponsored outings Join us in shaping the future of technology solutions!
