POSITION SUMMARY: As an IT Infrastructure & Security Intern, you will provide support to the IT Infrastructure & Security team. This role provides hands-on experience across a range of infrastructure disciplines including servers, storage, networking, and cloud environments. Under the guidance of senior team members, the intern will support projects, documentation, monitoring, and day-to-day operations. Essential Functions • Assists in the support and maintenance of IT infrastructure including servers, networking, and cloud systems. • Participates in the documentation of infrastructure processes, configurations, and support procedures. • Supports routine monitoring and reporting of system performance, availability, and health. • Learns and helps apply basic best practices for security, backup, and disaster recovery. • Aids in troubleshooting and resolving basic infrastructure issues under supervision. • Collaborates with team members across IT and other departments to understand infrastructure needs. • Assists with vendor research, asset tracking, and basic procurement or inventory tasks. • Participates in the evaluation or testing of new technologies and tools under guidance. • Supports the team in ongoing improvement efforts through feedback, suggestions, and observations. • Performs additional support tasks and projects as assigned. Qualifications • Pursing a degree in Computer Science or a related technical field. • Ability to accept delegated assignments, work with moderate independence. • Must have time management skills to handle multiple projects on short deadlines. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
