The Network Administrator-Corporate IT at University of MD Faculty Physicians Inc. is responsible for maintaining and supporting the organization's enterprise LAN/WAN environments. This role involves resolving incidents, supporting clinical IT needs, and managing network security technologies.
Maintaining and supporting the organization’s enterprise LAN/WAN environments, and primary administration and upkeep of both in-house network/data security technologies and application; resolving daily incident and requesting tickets within the Networking space and serving as a subject matter expert and point of escalation for the Infrastructure Services team; and other duties as assigned. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Provides on-site information systems support for clinical mission during the workday. Additionally, provides remote support in an on-call rotation during evening hours as needed. • Assists clinical stakeholders in IT decision-making processes by vetting vendors, evaluating product compatibility and fitness, etc. • Plans and deploys new server and storage infrastructure, maintains existing infrastructure. • Plans and deploys workstations, software packages, and other computer equipment for enterprise customers. • Ensures backups for clinical and business data run successfully and are stored safely, according to industry best-practices. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE • Bachelor's degree in information technology management or related field from an accredited university • 3-5 years hands-on experience configuring, implementing and supporting large scale Cisco Based Wide Area and Local Networks including VOIP, CCNA, CCNP or CCIE preferred • Proficient in current versions of Microsoft Windows Server, and OES, and a variety of Unix-style operating systems (e.g. Linux, Solaris, etc.) • Proficient with visualization technologies, including VMware, or equivalent • Proficient with network storage technologies including NAS and SAN infrastructures and products • Proficient with enterprise backup solutions, hardware and software. Total Rewards The referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of University of Maryland’s Faculty Physician’s Inc. salary range for this position. Some candidates will not be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, market conditions, internal equity, responsibility factor and span of control, education/training and other qualifications.
