We are seeking an experienced IT Systems Administrator with expertise in Microsoft Azure and helpdesk management to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud infrastructure management, server administration, user support, and troubleshooting. This role involves maintaining our IT systems, managing cloud resources, providing technical support, and ensuring the overall performance and security of our network infrastructure. ### **Key Responsibilities:** - **Microsoft Azure Administration:** - Manages and supports Azure infrastructure including virtual machines, storage accounts, networking, and resource management. - Configures, monitors, and troubleshoots Azure resources, including virtual networks, load balancers, and Active Directory. - Ensures optimal performance, scalability, and security of cloud services and resources. - Assists with Azure cost optimization and resource scaling to meet business needs. - **Server and Systems Administration:** - Installs, configures, and maintains Windows and Linux servers (on-premises and cloud-based). - Performs regular backups, updates, and patch management to ensure system integrity. - Troubleshoots and resolves server, storage, and network issues in a timely manner. - Manages system monitoring tools to track performance and resolve issues proactively. - **Helpdesk Management:** - Supervises and provides escalation support for the helpdesk team, ensuring all service requests and incidents are handled efficiently. - Coordinates and manages the resolution of escalated technical issues related to software, hardware, and networking. - Maintains accurate helpdesk tickets, provides regular updates, and ensures timely resolutions for all support cases. - Develops and maintains IT documentation and user guides to enhance the support experience. - **User and Security Management:** - Administers user accounts and permissions in Active Directory and Microsoft 365. - Implements and enforces security policies to protect the network and systems. - Monitors system logs and performs regular security audits to identify potential vulnerabilities. - **Collaboration & Support:** - Works closely with other IT team members, business units, and third-party vendors to implement and support IT projects. - Provides end-user support for software applications, hardware issues, and IT troubleshooting. - Assists with the setup and configuration of end-user devices, including laptops, desktops, and mobile devices. - **Documentation & Reporting:** - Maintains up-to-date documentation for system configurations, procedures, and infrastructure. - Provides regular reports on system performance, helpdesk metrics, and infrastructure improvements. ### **Qualifications:** - **Education/Experience:** - Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). - 3+ years of experience in systems administration, with at least 1-2 years focused on Microsoft Azure management. - Proven experience in helpdesk support, with a focus on managing and escalating issues in a fast-paced environment. - **Technical Skills:** - Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, including compute, networking, storage, and security. - Proficiency with server management (Windows Server, Linux), virtualization technologies, and cloud-based infrastructure. - Experience with Microsoft 365 administration, Active Directory, and Group Policy. - Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for automation and system management. - Knowledge of ITIL processes for incident management, service requests, and problem management. - **Soft Skills:** - Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users. - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects. - Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. ### **Certifications (Preferred):** - Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) - Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert - ITIL Foundation Certification - CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certifications ### **Physical Demands and Work Environment:** The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. This position requires the ability to work extended hours and/or weekends. ### **Travel:** <5% of travel time expected for the position. ### **Compensation:** $110,000 - $125,000
