Our client, a rapidly expanding technology firm in Baltimore, Maryland, US , is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to enhance their cloud infrastructure and streamline their software development lifecycle. This pivotal role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, reliable, and secure CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure provisioning, and fostering a culture of collaboration between development and operations teams. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in cloud platforms, containerization technologies, and infrastructure as code tools. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the performance, availability, and security of our client's cutting-edge software solutions. Key Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, and deployment processes. Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation. Administer and optimize cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP), focusing on scalability, security, and cost-efficiency. Implement and manage container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or Docker Swarm. Develop and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure system health and performance. Collaborate closely with development teams to troubleshoot issues, optimize application performance, and implement best practices. Automate system administration tasks and infrastructure provisioning. Implement and enforce security best practices across the infrastructure and deployment pipelines. Participate in on-call rotation to provide emergency support for production systems. Stay abreast of emerging DevOps trends, tools, and technologies, and champion their adoption where appropriate. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 6 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or a related systems engineering role. Proven expertise in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI. Strong proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their associated services. Extensive experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes). Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, Ansible). Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go. Solid understanding of networking concepts, security principles, and system monitoring. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Experience with microservices architectures is a plus.
