Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join their fully remote team. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust and scalable cloud infrastructure and automation solutions. You will work on cutting-edge technologies, focusing on CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, containerization, and system monitoring to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of our client's applications. This is a remote-first position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the US. You will collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline workflows, improve deployment processes, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of cloud platforms, automation tools, and a passion for building efficient and resilient systems. Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure on AWS/Azure/GCP. Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated application deployments and testing. Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation. Automate operational tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort. Implement and manage containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations. Ensure the security and compliance of cloud environments. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production and pre-production environments. Collaborate with software development teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment. Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical systems. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing. Stay current with emerging DevOps trends and technologies. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or a similar role. Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Strong expertise in CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI). Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go. Hands-on experience with container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, Docker Swarm). Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet). Solid understanding of networking, security, and system administration principles. Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills, essential for a remote team. This is a remote position, offering the convenience and flexibility to work from home.
