What will the Support System Administrator do? • Take charge of our VM Horizon environment, including configuring and maintaining "gold images," administering desktop pools (DEM, patching), and ensuring seamless access for both thin-client and PC users. • Implement and maintain robust backup strategies for production servers, critical files, and databases. You'll be responsible for scheduling, configuring new backups, fulfilling data recovery requests, and conducting regular testing to guarantee our data is always protected and recoverable. • Install and manage all essential applications for our remote users on Horizon images, implementing strong security controls to prevent unauthorized access and performing necessary component upgrades. • Administer user accounts through Active Directory and group policies, ensuring ironclad security controls across our systems. • Resolve complex PC issues that extend beyond initial helpdesk support, identifying recurring problems and implementing preventative measures to enhance overall system stability. • Manage our Teams IP phone system and Five9 call center configurations, handling service calls and software upgrades, and acting as a key liaison with vendors. • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, identifying opportunities to enhance our IT infrastructure and operations. • Provide essential backup support to our Production Support Analyst and Technical Support Specialist, jumping in to assist with Helpdesk tickets when needed. • Take on diverse IT projects, contributing to the continuous improvement and expansion of our systems.
