MSP Systems/Network Engineer – Senior Projects & Escalations Location: Oreland, PA (≈15–20 minutes from King of Prussia) Salary: $80,000–$105,000 Why this role Own complex projects and be the final stop for tough escalations in a modern MSP environment. You’ll lead infrastructure, cloud, and security work from scope to handoff—while shaping standards, mentoring Level I/II techs, and directly impacting client outcomes. What you’ll do • Escalations: Act as top-tier resolver for Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Azure AD/Entra, networking, and virtualization issues. • Projects: Design/implement Office 365 & Google Workspace, build/upgrade networks, and deploy physical/virtual infrastructure (Hyper-V, VMware). • Security & Resilience: Oversee EDR, AV, email filtering, anti-ransomware, backup/DR (Datto, Veeam, Acronis), and managed SOC tooling. • Network: Architect and secure LAN/WAN/WLAN/VPN; configure firewalls/routers/switches; harden environments and perform root-cause analysis. • Process & Handoff: Drive requirements, timelines, and change management; document thoroughly in PSA/RMM; keep stakeholders updated. • Leadership: Mentor junior techs, refine templates/standards, and help evaluate/implement new tools and best practices. • Coverage: Participate in after-hours/on-call rotations as needed. Must-have experience (no exceptions) • 3+ years in an MSP or multi-client environment (projects + escalations). • Deep expertise with Microsoft 365 / Azure AD / Intune, Windows Server (2016–2025) & AD, VMware/Hyper-V, and networking (VLANs, VPNs, routing, firewalls). • Proven success delivering migrations, deployments, and upgrades across multiple clients. • Hands-on with backup/DR platforms and managed security tooling. • Competent in PSA/RMM workflows and PowerShell for automation/scripting. • Excellent client communication, able to translate complex topics into business value. Nice to have • Certifications: Microsoft (Azure Admin / MCSA), VMware VCP, Cisco CCNA. • PSA/RMM familiarity: Autotask, ConnectWise, etc. • Security frameworks: SOC 2, CIS, NIST. • Device management/automation: Intune, MaaS360.
