We are looking for an accomplished Principal / Architectural Consultant to enhance our team, focusing on the design and delivery of enterprise solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. This role merges in-depth technical expertise with strong leadership and client engagement. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on technologist with a proven track record in architecting, engineering, and delivering modern cloud solutions. You will guide development teams, lead architecture and design sessions, and act as a trusted advisor to our clients, assisting them in modernizing applications, adopting cloud-native technologies, and implementing DevOps best practices. Description • Key Responsibilities: • Solution Architecture & Design: • Design scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions on Microsoft Azure utilizing IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services. • Establish cloud-native architectures, including microservices, serverless, event-driven, and container-based designs. • Create end-to-end solutions integrating applications, APIs, data platforms, and identity & access controls. • Technical Leadership: • Provide hands-on leadership to development teams, delivering guidance on best practices in engineering, coding standards, and design patterns. • Engage in code reviews, debugging, performance tuning, and test automation efforts. • Lead proof-of-concept (PoC) initiatives and technical spikes to assess new methodologies and technologies. • Client Engagement: • Serve as a senior technical advisor during client meetings, workshops, and architecture reviews. • Communicate complex technical concepts in a business-relevant manner for stakeholders. • Foster strong client relationships and contribute to successful consulting engagements. • DevOps & Automation: • Architect CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or other similar tools. • Promote infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices utilizing Bicep, Terraform, or ARM templates. • Incorporate automated testing, security scanning, and compliance into delivery pipelines. • Emerging Technologies: • Keep abreast of Azure’s latest features, AI/ML services, Microsoft Fabric, Azure OpenAI, container services (AKS), and cloud-native patterns. • Guide clients on adopting emerging technologies to spark innovation. • Internal Leadership & Mentoring: • Mentor and develop junior architects, developers, and consultants. • Collaborate with sales and delivery teams on proposals, estimations, and project planning. • Contribute to the development of internal accelerators, templates, and frameworks to enhance delivery effectiveness. Required Skills / Experience • 10+ years of experience in software development, architecture, and delivery. • 5+ years of experience in designing and implementing solutions on Microsoft Azure. • Strong knowledge of C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET, Web APIs, and modern frontend frameworks (React, Angular, Blazor, or similar). • Deep experience with Azure services: App Services, Functions, AKS, Event Grid, Service Bus, Azure Storage, Cosmos DB, Azure SQL, Entra ID. • Proficient in DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, and infrastructure as code. • Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and performance optimization abilities. • Familiarity with microservices, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and API management. • Experience with AI/ML integration using Azure Cognitive Services or Azure OpenAI is a plus. Soft Skills • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical audiences. • Strong consulting experience with clients. • Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional and distributed teams. • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced consulting environment. • Committed continuous learner with a passion for emerging technologies.
