County: Dauphin County Duration: Through August 31, 2026 Work Hours: Monday – Friday | 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM / 4:00 PM (Eastern) (8-hour workdays, with a 30-minute lunch break) Rate: • $59/hr W2 (All-Inclusive) • $65/hr C2C Job Description: The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking an experienced Senior Developer to lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable web applications using .NET, SQL Server, and Azure cloud services. You will work in a collaborative environment to build secure, high-performance applications that support PSP's critical operations. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement secure, scalable cloud-based web applications using Azure services Develop .NET applications (ASP.NET MVC, Web API, C#) with strong SQL database integration Ensure adherence to security best practices throughout the SDLC Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software Maintain and extend technical documentation Drive architectural standards and patterns across projects • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in cloud development Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree (4-year college degree required) • Minimum 6 years of full lifecycle software development experience on Microsoft stack • 5+ years experience in: .NET Framework (1.1 – 4.6.x) C# ASP.NET WCF Web Services MS SQL Server Visual Studio Object-Oriented Development Technical documentation maintenance • 2+ years in .NET Core and Web API Hands-on Azure cloud development experience Strong understanding of SQL Server architecture, performance tuning, and query optimization • After-hours support availability as needed Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Blob Storage Familiarity with CI/CD using Azure DevOps, Terraform, or ARM templates Exposure to modern frontend frameworks: React, Angular, or Vue.js Agile/Scrum project experience • Strong communication and problem-solving skills Technical Skills Snapshot: • Languages & Frameworks: C#, ASP.NET MVC/Web API, .NET Core, .NET Framework • Cloud: Azure (App Services, Functions, SQL, Storage) • Database: Microsoft SQL Server • Tools: Visual Studio, Azure DevOps • Design Patterns: MVC, Repository, DI, etc. • Security: Authorization, authentication, encryption best practices Compliance & Interview Requirements: Please confirm the following: • Are you willing to undergo a Criminal Background Check and Fingerprinting? • Do you understand that government equipment must not be taken outside the U.S., and violation may result in immediate termination and disqualification from future contracts?
