SQL Database Administrator We are seeking an experienced SQL Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and modernize CPPA's SQL Server and Azure data estate. This role combines deep SQL expertise with cloud automation and governance, ensuring high performance, security, and operational efficiency across production and development workloads. The ideal candidate will help advance data modernization, automation, and cost optimization initiatives within Azure. Key Responsibilities: • Administer, configure, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server databases (Azure VM, and Azure SQL). • Implement automated monitoring, alerting, and maintenance using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and PowerShell. • Design and manage data pipelines in Azure Fabric environments. • Support database security and compliance through RBAC, managed identities, encryption, and auditing. • Implement backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies, including AlwaysOn and geo-replication. • Develop database-as-code and deployment automation using Terraform, or Azure DevOps pipelines. • Collaborate with developers and analysts to improve database design, indexing, and query performance. • Deep understanding of Redgate's Flyway software.
