Job Summary As a key member of our Clinical Informatics team, you will report to the Director of Clinical Informatics for Analytics & Interfaces. In this role, you will be pivotal in developing, designing, and maintaining essential business reports drawn from a variety of data sources. Your expertise will support the Care Connections team by extracting, validating, and analyzing data to monitor and enhance departmental initiatives. You will also play an active role in planning, developing, and implementing builds and upgrades for our electronic medical record application, Epic. Essential Job Duties • Create and maintain centralized reporting tools to facilitate informed decision-making. • Oversee internal and external data load processes. • Work collaboratively with team members to identify and resolve issues efficiently. • Utilize Business Intelligence tools to propel strategic initiatives forward. • Ensure the integrity of data for departmental reporting and its seamless integration into Epic. • Conduct ad hoc analyses to answer inquiries and clarify anomalies. • Incorporate external data sources and identify automation opportunities in data extraction. • Deliver in-depth data analysis, offering quantitative and qualitative insights, patterns, and trends for decision-makers. • Maintain code using Azure DevOps as the version control system. • Meet departmental and individual performance goals. • Document all aspects of your responsibilities thoroughly. • Take on additional tasks as assigned. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities • Strong proficiency in SQL. • Experience with report development using SSRS and Power BI. • Familiarity with Databricks. • Experience with ETL/ELT tools like SSIS or Azure Data Factory. • Excellent critical thinking skills and a keen attention to detail. • Ability to question and identify data gaps in reports or processes. • Effective communication skills for collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • A strong desire to learn new tools and platforms, with healthy curiosity and creativity. • Proficient time management skills to manage multiple tasks and meet internal deadlines. • Experience with version control systems such as TFS or Azure DevOps. • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively across teams. Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. • 3-5 years of experience in SQL programming. • 2-3 years of experience as a BI Engineer. • 2-3 years in Business Intelligence development.
