Role: Sr. Product Developer (MS Power Platform) Location: Kansas City, MO Job Description Client is seeking a Sr. Product Developer to support digital transformation initiatives by creating hybrid machine learning and rule-based applications using the Microsoft Power Platform. This role focuses on streamlining business processes, automating repetitive tasks, and delivering data-driven insights. You will be part of a cross-functional team that works with business analysts, stakeholders, and technical experts from project discovery through deployment. Under the general direction of the Product Development Manager, you will design, build, and maintain low-code/no-code solutions that improve processing speed, accuracy, and reliability. Key Responsibilities: Design, build, configure, test, deploy, and maintain applications on the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Virtual Agents, and Dataverse Develop reusable scripts and automation frameworks that reduce manual administrative processes. Collaborate with Business Analysts and stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions. Document technical designs, release notes, workflows, and solution architecture to support ongoing operations and maintenance. Provide day-to-day troubleshooting and support for live applications, ensuring timely resolutions. Help define and implement Power Platform governance, standards, and best practices. Analyze structured and unstructured data to identify trends and deliver insights via dashboards or reports. Stay current with emerging technology trends, experiment with new tools, and mentor others within the community of practice. Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field. At least 4 years of relevant experience in software development, automation, or business process improvement. Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, etc or other low-code/no-code tools. Experience with programming languages such as Python, R, .NET, C#, Visual Basic, or Java, especially in the context of automation and system integration. Familiarity with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools is a plus. Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Required: Curious, adaptable, and self-motivated, with a passion for solving complex business problems. Strong analytical, debugging, and root cause analysis skills. Ability to interpret and work with data from varied sources (e.g., APIs, databases, logs General understanding of APIs, networking concepts, command-line tools, and client-server architecture. Exposure to machine learning or AI concepts is a plus. Comfortable reading and interpreting workflow diagrams and process documentation. Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile methodologies preferred. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Preferred: Experience in utilities, supply chain, or enterprise-level automation projects. Understanding of Power Platform Center of Excellence (CoE), environment management, and security governance.
