The Intelligence Production Solutions Division (IPSD), part of the Decision Advantage Solutions Business Area, is currently seeking a highly motivated Sr. Software Engineer for the Chinook Program. The Chinook Program delivers mission-driven software capabilities across the GEOINT enterprise through secure, agile, and cloud-native development. As a senior engineer, you will lead technical development efforts, drive Dev Sec Ops maturity, and support our customers’ evolving mission needs with scalable, resilient solutions. As a leader you will design and implement modern, containerized applications in classified cloud environments, guiding junior engineers, and working directly with mission stakeholders to ensure successful delivery. Primary Responsibilities: • Lead full-stack software development of enterprise applications and services supporting our customer’s GEOINT mission. • Design and implement secure, scalable microservices in cloud environments such as AWS Gov Cloud or C2S. • Guide and mentor junior and mid-level engineers, enforce code quality, and lead peer reviews. • Build and deploy applications using Dev Sec Ops pipelines, container orchestration, and Infrastructure-as-Code tools. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including analysts, UI/UX designers, Dev Ops engineers, and product owners. • Translate mission requirements into technical implementations that meet security, performance, and scalability needs. • Ensure compliance with our customer and IC cybersecurity and accreditation standards (e.g., RMF, STIGs). Basic Qualifications: • US citizenship is required per contract. • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field and 8-12 years of prior relevant experience or Master’s with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience. • Strong proficiency with the following technologies: • Web: HTML, CSS, JSON, Ajax, and REST APIs • Object-oriented Programming: Python, Java, or JavaScript. • Advanced Programming: Go • Front-end and Back-end Frameworks: React, Angular, Vue.js, jQuery, Spring Boot, Django, Node.js, Flask, or Svelte. • Cloud Development: AWS, Azure, or similar cloud platforms • Relational Database: MySQL, Postgre SQL, or SQL Server • Operating System: Windows, Linux • Version Control System: Git • Deep understanding of modern software design patterns and coding standards. • Experience architecting, developing, and delivering complex software systems into production. • Hands-on experience developing containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes. • Experience deploying to and developing in classified cloud environments (e.g., C2S, AWS Gov Cloud). • Familiarity with Dev Sec Ops tools and practices (e.g., Git Lab CI/CD, Jenkins, Sonar Qube, Nexus, Terraform). • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and secure software lifecycle principles. • Strong, self-motivated desire to learn new programming languages, tools, frameworks, and techniques.
