Senior IT Systems Administrator job at Paradigm Information Services, Inc.. Portland, OR. Job Description Job Description Paradigm is currently in search of a Senior IT Systems Administrator to work onsite for our computer hardware client in Wilsonville, OR. This person will be responsible for the daily operations and monitoring of the corporate IT infrastructure in support of all company end-users. This role will ensure smooth running of networking and server systems, while maintaining a high level of security. We are seeking someone with extensive Microsoft Exchange experience and with Linux server experience to join this team. As a Senior IT Systems Administrator, you will: • Manage Microsoft Exchange i.e., upgrades and migrations. • Collaboratively manage, maintain, and update Microsoft Active Directory, WSUS, and Exchange infrastructure. • Help with preventative maintenance tasks and updates on Windows IT hardware and software systems. • Manage Windows and Linux applications, provisioning servers, and troubleshooting. • Administer and ensure routine maintenance and updates to all IT systems and infrastructure. • Conduct network vulnerability scans to ensure secure operations. • Help maintain computer hardware (peripheral devices) and networking equipment. • Troubleshoot IT related problems, both Hardware and Software. • Helps install, configure, and maintain monitoring and security tools. • Troubleshoot and document process and work flow. • Work with user logs, security logs, and be able to read them. • Provide after-hours support for planned maintenance. Requirements Our skills and experience wish list includes : • Minimum of 10 years’ Systems Administration experience in a corporate environment • Minimum 5 years Microsoft Exchange experience • 5 years’ Linux and Windows systems experience • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or equivalent experience • Relevant certifications are a plus in order to keep up to date with current technology and trends • Extensive knowledge of user administration, directory administration, server administration, GPO, and File share • Ability to update and maintain computer hardware • Should be able to explain what sub masks are and why they are important • Experience performing preventative maintenance and updates of hardware and software • Demonstrated knowledge of networking concepts and protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs and various network monitoring tools • Experience troubleshooting network issues/problems • Ability to communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non- technical personnel Benefits Our client offers medical, dental, vision, life, 401K, PTO and sick days.
