This is a Contract position, and the client is looking for someone to start immediately. Duration: 5 Months Contract (Part-time) Location: Dallas, TX Salary: $60.00-$70.00/Hourly Role: Power BI and Snowflake Consultant Primary Skills: Amazon Web Services (AWS) Role Description: The Power BI and Snowflake Consultant must have 3+ years of experience. Responsibilities: - Create and manage new Snowflake users, ensuring proper role assignments and access control. - Provide technical support for data pipelines and troubleshoot related issues as needed. - Monitor Snowflake performance, optimize expensive queries, and manage resource usage to control costs. - Plan and implement SSO (Single Sign-On), clean up roles, and apply Snowflake best practices for security and performance. - Onboard and orient new Power BI users, while maintaining the Power BI Data Gateway for seamless data access. - Manage permissions and workspaces in Power BI, ensuring secure and efficient collaboration across teams. - Develop, deploy, and maintain reports, analytics, and dashboards in Power BI, while troubleshooting and resolving any reporting issues. - Collaborate with stakeholders to design databases and data warehouses that integrate smoothly with BI tools and leverage Snowflake’s full capabilities. - Apply 5+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake and Power BI, including administration, query tuning, and reporting/visualization. - Ensure data security for sensitive PII/PCI data in Snowflake, adhering to protocols like SAML, OAuth, and OpenID, with experience in administering Snowflake in AWS or Azure environments.
