Manages applications daily to ensure the availability, security, and performance of Microsoft applications such as Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, Security & Compliance Center, Intune, and third part applications. Tasks include provisioning, integrating (SAML - OAuth), operating, supporting, maintaining, backing-up, and conducting training or research to ensure continual availability and smooth operations. Position will also require level 1 and 2 technical support for end users and some external clients. This position is eligible for remote work, but quarterly travel will be required to Avalon's corporate office located in Tampa, Florida. Microsoft 365 (M365) Admin - Essential Functions and Responsibilities: • Security: Maintain knowledge of application changes, vulnerabilities, and patches; research and apply hardening techniques; perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible risks or intrusions; investigate incidents and/or intrusions if detected. • Operations and Support: Perform daily applications monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all applications assigned, review application logs, and verify completion of scheduled jobs such as backups; create, change, and delete user accounts per approved request; provide Tier III level application support per request from various constituencies, investigate and troubleshoot issues; and repair and recover from software failures. Conduct tier 1 and user level training as required. Support remote and on site staff with laptop troubleshooting, printer setups, software installations, handle onboarding and offboarding, troubleshoot hardware problems, and perform password resets. • Maintenance: Apply upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities; configure/add new services as necessary; maintain operational, configuration, or other procedures; perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning; perform ongoing performance tuning, coordinate required hardware upgrades. • Work across teams balancing competing objectives to accomplish goals and requirements. Microsoft 365 (M365) Admin – Minimum Qualifications: • Minimum of 12 months professional experience as a technical support technician. • High school diploma or GED. • Any IT or Technical Certifications a strong plus - MS CERTS: MS-102, MD-102, MS-900, SC-900 • Required Experience: Microsoft 365 administration, 1-3 years. M365, SharePoint, Exchange, Teams, Intune-Mobile Device Management, Entra ID, PowerShell scripting (Higher level admin via PowerShell). Experience managing laptops remotely via Intune and Intune Autopilot. • Education or Equivalent Experience: Bachelor's (4-year) degree is preferred. Will consider relevant work experience and will also consider IT and Security Certifications in lieu of a degree. • Required Proficiency: Windows and MS Office environment. • Required Experience: 3-5 years general IT application administration, and IT support experience. General experience supporting other applications a strong plus. Soft skills in communications and dealing with users is required. SQL Data Query Skills (Lite) preferred.
