Role- Data Engineer Data Lake & Power BI Location- Santa Clara, CA Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Data Engineering and PowerBI Support Specialist to join our SRO team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing end-user support for data engineering and PowerBI-related tasks. This role requires a high-level understanding of technical concepts, but no coding or development work is required. Key Responsibilities: End-User Support for Data Engineering: Onboard teams on edl/edsp clusters Share documentation on data ingestion, processing, storage, and access services with the requested teams Respond, manage and guide end user on access token refresh, solve expiry related issues Monitor slack channel #nv-enterprise-data-lake and respond to user's queries Assist users with data-related inquiries and issues, ensuring timely and accurate resolution. Collaborate with the SRE team to address data lake operations tickets and escalate issues when necessary. Offer feedback and suggestions to improve the data lake platform based on user experiences. End-User Support for PowerBI: Share documentation on PowerBI end user questions Triage and resolve PowerBI issues, communicating effectively with end users. Assist with PowerBI workspace upgrades, including requesting administrative approval and upgrading workspaces to premium content. Monitor IT PowerBI capacity utilization and take corrective action based on alerts. Ensure the quality and performance of PowerBI reports and dashboards. Work closely with the Enterprise data lake team to address PowerBI-related issues. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. • Strong understanding of data engineering concepts and PowerBI functionalities. • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. • Proven experience in providing end-user support for data engineering and PowerBI. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience and familiarity on ETL/ELT, databricks and PowerBI • Knowledge on Python/Spark • Knowledge of data lake technologies and tools. • Experience with IT capacity planning and monitoring tools. • Experience with ServiceNow, Jira, and other ticketing systems.
