This pivotal role involves collaborating with the AVP of Government Consumer Analytics to spearhead exemplary technical execution on complex projects, nurturing a culture of superiority and establishing high standards for our talented team of approximately 80 data scientists and engineers. Description / Key Responsibilities: • Hands-On Data Science Leadership for Complex Projects (60%): • Identify and resolve strategic business challenges that make a significant impact through the application of advanced theories and innovative techniques. • Champion the development of advanced algorithms and predictive models for data analysis and outcome forecasting. • Establish and adhere to rigorous analytical methodologies while applying sophisticated statistical techniques on large datasets. • Investigate and assess industry best practices to elevate our technical frameworks. • Simultaneously oversee 2-3 complex projects, balancing hands-on problem-solving with coaching duties. • Technical Development & Mentoring (25%): • Host team-wide office hours to solve technical challenges and cultivate problem-solving skills across the team. • Offer personalized coaching sessions for 10-20 team members to elevate their technical competencies. • Define Standards & Best Practices in Data Science (15%): • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities for best practices within the organization. • Lead the development of a comprehensive analytics strategy and roadmap across the enterprise. Required Qualifications • 10+ years of progressively intricate analytics experience. • 8+ years managing analytics projects from conception through to delivery while coordinating with diverse stakeholder groups. • 8+ years of experience utilizing advanced analytics tools and languages on large datasets. • 8+ years of expertise in statistical problem-solving employing advanced statistics, machine learning, and predictive modeling techniques. • 8+ years familiar with Python, SQL, and Cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure). • 5+ years of demonstrated industry experience with strong written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. • Strong organizational, management, and leadership abilities. • Insight into the healthcare industry, including its products, systems, and business strategies. Education • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Physics, Operations Research, Engineering, or a related field. • A Master’s degree or PhD is preferred. Compensation Package The typical pay range for this role is between $144,200.00 - $288,400.00. The final offer will take into consideration factors like experience, education, and geographical location. This position is also eligible for bonuses, commissions, short-term incentive programs, and an equity award program.
