Data Engineer - SSRS job at The Carrera Agency. San Diego, CA. We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer for our award-winning Biotech client located in San Diego, CA. This position will make an impact though the development of manufacturing batch record reports for DNA products. In this position you’ll design, build, and deploy database reports on the Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services platform. Role Overview: • Location: Remote • Duration: 3 months • Anticipated Compensation: $60 - $74/hr W2 plus benefits. The offered compensation to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include (but are not limited to) the type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc. Responsibilities: • Gathers requirements from users and documents the Report Requirement Specification. • Develops reports using Visual Studio with the SSRS plugin. • Writes SQL queries for Stored Procedures backing the reports. • Documents the technical design in a Report Design Details document. • Manages the SSRS project, SQL and stored procedures in GIT. • Builds the report project using TeamCity and prepares release documentation. • Works with the test engineers to create test protocol documents. • Performs work according to the Software Development Life Cycle. Requirements • 6+ years advanced working SQL knowledge working with relational databases, query writing (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases. • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server reporting services. • Knowledge of Visual Studio SSRS report development. • Strong analytic skills related to working with datasets. Nice To Have • Demonstrated ability to work with ambiguous requirements, adapt and learn. • Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. • Experience with Dx medical device Electronic Batch Records (EBR) or Electronic Device History Records (eDHR).
