We are seeking an experienced Senior Synapse Data Engineer to lead the development, optimization, and maintenance of cloud-based data pipelines, analytics solutions, and enterprise data platforms. This role will focus on implementing end-to-end data solutions using Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of data assets. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Azure Synapse, ETL development, data modeling, Salesforce integration, and Power BI to support data-driven decision-making. • *This is a Hybrid role** Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain data models in Azure Synapse Analytics to support reporting and analytics. • Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Synapse Pipelines and dedicated SQL pools to extract and transform Salesforce data. • Analyze source systems and design robust data ingestion and transformation workflows. • Configure and manage Azure Synapse Analytics workspace, including linked services, datasets, and pipelines. • Perform regular monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization of data pipelines and cloud infrastructure. • Collaborate with teams to enhance Azure storage, networking, security, and cost management strategies. • Work with data analysts and business stakeholders to develop dashboards and reports in Power BI. • Enable self-service BI tools and provide user training to maximize data accessibility. • Optimize Power BI datasets and queries for performance and scalability. • Design and implement data integrations between Salesforce and Azure Synapse using APIs, ETL tools, and integration platforms (MuleSoft, Azure Data Factory). • Develop solutions leveraging Salesforce APIs (REST, SOAP), Apex, and Lightning Web Components (LWC). • Work with integration tools like MuleSoft, Informatica, or similar to ensure seamless data flow between systems. • Implement and enforce best practices for data governance, security, and compliance. • Maintain up-to-date data documentation, including data models, data dictionaries, and metadata repositories. Required Qualifications: • 4+ years of experience in Azure Synapse Analytics development and management. • 4+ years of experience working with Azure Data Platform (Data Factory, Data Lake, Azure SQL Database). • 4+ years of experience in ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and warehousing (star schema, snowflake schema). • 5+ years of experience in SQL, T-SQL, and performance tuning for data processing. • 1+ year of experience in Salesforce integrations and APIs (REST, SOAP). • 3+ years of experience in integration tools like MuleSoft, Informatica, or similar. • 3+ years of experience with DevOps, CI/CD (Git, automation tools). • 5+ years of experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform. • 3+ years of experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) for data processing and storage. • 2+ years of experience with Lightning Web Components (LWC) for Salesforce reports. • 1+ year of experience with Power BI development and visualization. Preferred Skills: • Familiarity with Azure Event Hubs, Stream Analytics, and Azure Functions. • Strong understanding of data security, governance, and compliance best practices. • Experience with Cloud Computing, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless architectures. • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
