Clearance: Public Trust Title: Senior VMWare System Administrator Location: Washington DC We are seeking a Senior VMWare System Administrator to work within the Server Engineering team supporting the Infrastructure and Operations Hosting Environment. This position will require expert experience in Windows, Linux, Active Directory, Virtualization, Cloud, and scripting experience to support our Federal Government customer. Candidates must possess excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills as well as documentation skills and perform with minimal supervision. Tasks and responsibilities include: • Building scalable, highly available, mission critical virtual infrastructures • Designing, implementing and managing multiple virtual environments & vlans • Disaster Recovery & Backup • Identifying the need for IT systems changes based on new security technologies or threats. • Supporting multi-site environments. • Coordinating patching across multiple environments (lower and production), among cross-functional teams. • Managing technical requirements specific to redesign of the existing architecture, configuring and implementing scalable enterprise infrastructure and communicating requirements to senior management officials, both technical and non-technical. However, additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. Must have experience leading technical team supporting system operations. Must possess a Data Center Virtualization certification or equivalent.
