SHOP FLOOR APPLICATION DEVELOPER SOUTHFIELD, WORLD HEADQUARTERS We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Shop Floor Application Developer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in .NET development and a passion for modern cloud-native architectures, containerization, and the convergence of IT and OT systems. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and deploying scalable applications that bridge enterprise software with industrial devices and systems. The Role: Your work will include, but not be limited to: • Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using .NET (C#, ASP.NET Core, Blazor, etc.) • Build and deploy containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes • Integrate cloud services (Azure, AWS, or GCP) for scalable and resilient solutions • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to connect IT systems with OT devices (PLCs, sensors, SCADA, etc.) • Develop APIs and microservices to support real-time data exchange between systems • Implement CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for streamlined development and deployment • Ensure security, performance, and reliability across all layers of the application stack • Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and agile ceremonies Your Qualifications: • Experience in full-stack .NET development • Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework, and front-end frameworks (React, Vue, or Blazor) • Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes • Strong understanding of cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP a plus) • Experience with industrial protocols and OT systems (e.g., OPC UA, Modbus, MQTT) • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Atlassian Suite) • Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and event-driven systems • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills Bonus If You Have: • Experience with edge computing and IoT platforms • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in IT/OT environments • Certifications in Azure, AWS, or Kubernetes • Experience with real-time data processing and analytics Lear Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer, committed to a diverse workplace.
