Azure Solutions Architect Columbia, SC | Fort Mill, SC | Charlotte, NC | Portland, OR (strongly Preferred) 12+ Months Project Responsibilities: • Participate in architectural design meetings supporting key IT and Digital capabilities. • Deploy, manage, automate, operate, and secure scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on Microsoft Azure. • Implement and control the flow of data to and from cloud environments. • Select appropriate Azure services based on compute, data, budget, and security requirements. • Identify and enforce cloud-based operational best practices. • Estimate usage costs, implement cost control mechanisms, and drive cost efficiencies. Mandatory Experience: • Proven experience as an Azure Solutions Architect. • Hands-on expertise in .NET development. • Working knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum preferred). • Experience with Angular or React. Desired Experience & Education: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. • 5+ years of experience architecting cloud-based solutions, with recent Azure architecture experience. • Strong technical knowledge of Azure PaaS, IaaS, and Azure AD. • Solid understanding of architectural design patterns, concepts, and best practices. • Experience with Service Fabric, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), event-driven architecture, SOA, microservices, and serverless computing. • Proficiency with PowerShell / Bash, and experience with Infrastructure-as-Code using ARM templates. • Understanding of application scaling to handle traffic increases. • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud system operations. • Ability to manage multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines. Preferred Skills / Certifications: • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (preferred) or MCSD Azure Solutions Developer. • Familiarity with Azure SQL, Azure Synapse, Cosmos DB, and Data Lake (Gen2 Storage). • Background in Windows/Linux virtualization and networking. • Previous .NET Core development experience. • Experience with Visual Studio, GIT, and ServiceNow. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and leadership levels. • Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
