Overview The Digital Centre of Excellence team is looking for an experienced Data Engineer and Visualization Expert who will support product, engineering and leadership teams with insights gained from analyzing product and business data. They must have a proven ability to build data-driven deliverables to deliver business results with their data-based insights. They must be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams. The right candidate will have a passion for discovering solutions hidden in large data sets and working with stakeholders to improve business outcomes. The candidate will work across the stakeholders to help set the vision for creating amazing user experience. Candidate must be willing to learn new technologies. Responsibilities • Responsible for crafting simple, dependable data pipelines and automated reporting to surface metrics. • Very strong experience in areas such as database architecture/design, data modeling, SQL and query optimization is required. Working experience with Snowflake, Python and Data Cataloging is desirable. Knowledge of ELT/ETL tools is preferred. • Design and implement big data architecture, data pipelines, reporting, dashboarding, data exploration, processes and quality controls to enable self-service Business Intelligence. • Design, build, and maintain ETL pipeline of analytical data warehouse. • Apply fluency in SQL, as well as a deep understanding of statistical analysis to avoid common pitfalls of data analysis. • Identify the bottlenecks of data flow and analysis, architect and implement solutions such as automation of data processing pipelines, optimalization of data queries, and enhancement of data visualization and interpretation. • Keep current on big data and data visualization technology trends, evaluate, work on proof-of-concept and make recommendations on the technologies based on their merit. Education & Experience Required • Embrace and live by the mission and values of Cypress Creek Renewables • Strong SQL skills with an emphasis on query optimization and building data stacks/layers. • Experience with data visualization application development using Power BI or a similar tool. Knowledge of Sigma a plus. • Working knowledge of Python for Data Analysis, ELT/ETL tools and Data Cataloging tools • Experienced developing in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and/or Snowflake at scale. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams. Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor's degree required; Computer Science, MIS, or Engineering preferred. • 4+ years of experience in database architecture, design, modeling and SQL Location: This position is located out of CCR's Durham, NC office with a hybrid schedule of 3 days in office per week.
