As a Data Engineering Specialist, you will play a crucial role in this endeavor—designing robust data systems, unifying diverse data sources, and developing pipelines that lead to meaningful analytics. Location Preferences: We invite you to join us from one of our offices in Portland, OKC, Tulsa, or Stillwater. Remote work options may be available based on the situation. Salary Range: $90,000-150,000, based on experience and qualifications. What You Will Do: • Construct modern, scalable data pipelines ensuring continuous data flow and client satisfaction. • Design cloud-native infrastructure and automation to support analytics, AI, and machine learning initiatives. • Aggregate and refine data from various sources, such as SQL, APIs, spreadsheets, and cloud storage. • Develop ETL/ELT frameworks that enhance code quality and simplify processes for teammates. • Apply strong data modeling principles to support everything from dashboards to data science applications. • Work closely with other InterWorkers and client teams to ascertain their precise needs. • Create clear documentation, engage in design discussions, and share your findings. • Approach every project with a thoughtful, solution-oriented mindset. What You Will Need: Must-Haves: • Proficient SQL skills with a drive to continually improve. • Extensive experience with ETL/ELT workflows using either GUI tools or code. • A solid understanding of data modeling best practices. • Comprehension of data quality, governance, and observability principles and practices. • Familiarity with DevOps concepts. • Experience with CI/CD pipelines. • Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. • A commitment to providing thoughtful, client-focused solutions. • A strong desire to learn new tools, frameworks, and methodologies. • 5+ years of professional experience in a data engineering or technical consulting role. • Adaptability and comfort in fast-paced environments. Nice-to-Haves: • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. • Familiarity with tools like Matillion, Fivetran, dbt, or Snowflake. • Exposure to modern data warehouses, including BigQuery, Redshift, or Databricks. • Knowledge of Python or scripting for automation tasks. • An interest in AI and its impact on the future of data engineering. • A background in software engineering or integration work.
