This is a Contract to Hire role with long term opportunity, and fully remote. Our client leverages Snowflake for our EDW, Azure for cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines, and PowerBI for business intelligence. Role Overview We’re seeking a Senior Data Engineer with deep expertise in Snowflake, Azure DevOps, and Python, who is passionate about building scalable data solutions and enabling seamless data access across teams. Experience with Vibe coding—whether in a personal or professional setting—is a strong plus, as we value creative and expressive approaches to data engineering. Familiarity with authoritative data systems is essential to ensure consistency, trust, and governance across our enterprise data landscape. Experience with AI tools and working within modern IDEs is also a strong plus, supporting efficient development and intelligent automation. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines and workflows using Azure Data Factory, Azure DevOps, and Python. • Architect and maintain scalable data models and integrations in Snowflake. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver robust, reusable solutions. • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for data engineering projects. • Ensure data quality, governance, and security across all layers of the data stack. • Support internal teams by facilitating seamless data access and integration with their tools (e.g., PowerBI, CRM, marketing platforms). • Work with authoritative data systems to ensure consistency, lineage, and trust in enterprise-wide data assets. • Explore and apply Vibe coding techniques to enhance data storytelling and user engagement. • Leverage AI tools to improve data workflows, automate processes, and support advanced analytics initiatives. • Utilize modern IDEs (e.g., VS Code, PyCharm, IntelliJ) to streamline development, debugging, and collaboration. Required Qualifications: • 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related field. • Strong proficiency in Snowflake, including performance tuning, data modeling, and SQL scripting. • Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services, especially Azure Data Factory, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipeline management. • Advanced Python skills for data processing, automation, and API integrations. • Experience working with authoritative data systems and implementing data governance best practices. • Familiarity with Vibe coding—creative coding approaches that enhance user experience or data presentation. • Experience working with modern IDEs for efficient development and debugging. • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile environment. • Excellent communication skills and a user-centric mindset.
