Role involves being hands on and play the role of technical lead across the portfolio. Roles/Responsibilities • Own the design development and implementation of Azure Databricks solutions tailored to insurance data workflows • Craft scalable and optimized data pipelines ETL/ELT processes and data lake architectures on Azure to support analytics actuarial models and operational data needs • Collaborate with stakeholders in pricing underwriting claims and policy management to define data requirements and build solutions aligned with business objectives • Develop and optimize data workflows using Databricks spark delta lake and azure services (Azure Data Factory Synapse Analytics) • Integrate external and internal data sources including policy admin systems pricing engines and claims management platforms ensuring data accuracy and consistency • Supervise and improve performance of Databricks notebooks clusters and pipelines to ensure efficient processing of large datasets • Implement standard processes for data governance security and compliance adhering to industry regulations • Work closely with system analysts’ users and develop technical specifications and solutions • Guide and mentor junior data engineers and developers in standard methodologies for Azure Databricks and client specific use cases Qualifications • 10+ Years of experience in data engineering with 4+ years on Azure Databricks • Hands on experience with Azure tools and services including Databricks Azure Data Factory ADLS Delta Lake Synapse Analytics and Azure SQL • Proficiency in Python SQL for data transformation and pipeline • Familiarity with integration of structure semi-structured and unstructured data from various sources. • Experience with CI/CD pipelines GIT and DevOps practices for data engineering. Salary and Other Compensation : Applications will be accepted until January 16, 2025. The annual salary for this position is between $81,000 – $150,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
