The Opportunity: As a Senior DevOps Tools Engineer, you will be vital in ensuring that the tools related to Agile development processes function optimally for our application development teams. Supporting our entire Technology organization involves promoting Agile planning and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD). You will report to the DevOps and Tools Team Leader within the Application Engineering team. Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities: • Collaborate with the DevOps and Tools Team and Application Development Team Lead to define and refine application and integration development processes, execution strategies, and roadmaps that connect current designs to long-term architecture. • Configure and support cloud-based Atlassian tools to enhance development efficiency and stabilize operations. • Develop new tools and processes to automate development practices while ensuring adherence to security, audit, and governance controls. • Integrate and configure additional frameworks and tools to support Agile practices at scale. • Encourage and foster the adoption of DevOps tools across various technology groups. • Implement strategies to enhance current DevOps processes and maximize tool usage. • Monitor system performance and availability according to agreed upon benchmarks. • Resolve incidents and alerts based on predefined service level agreements regarding system performance and uptime. • Coordinate with other departments to communicate service interruptions and perform root cause analysis. • Provide 24/7 international support, including on-call duties and a flexible off-hours schedule for maintenance needs. Your Qualifications: • At least 7 years of experience with DevOps tools such as Github, Jenkins, Artifactory, Ansible, Terraform, AppDynamics, Splunk, or similar technologies. • Experience administering Ansible Tower and Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) for automated infrastructure and application deployment. • Proficient in scripting languages like Shell Scripting, Groovy, Python, PowerShell, HCL, or similar. • Experience with private and public cloud platforms including Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, or AWS. • At least 5 years of experience utilizing Atlassian products like JIRA, Confluence, or Mural for agile planning and team collaboration. • Experience with Docker, including the creation of Dockerfiles and running containers on Kubernetes. • A minimum of 4 years of experience with relational database management systems such as MSSQL, MySQL, SQL, or Postgres. • Demonstrated expertise in technology design focusing on containerization, security, and operational performance. Key Skills: • Ability to train and empower IT product delivery teams in effective DevOps tool usage and Enterprise application development processes. • Ability to inspire peers and lead continuous improvements. • Strong planning and problem-solving skills. Educational Requirements: • A Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field is required; advanced degrees are a plus. Why Fisher Investments?
