Our Technology Staffing Team is looking to speak with Boston-area candidates who would be a strong fit for the role outlined below. Responsibilities • Monitor enterprise networks, cloud environments, and systems for security incidents, vulnerabilities, and suspicious activity using modern SIEM/SOAR platforms (e.g., Splunk, Azure Sentinel, AWS Security Hub). • Investigate, triage, and respond to security incidents in accordance with established incident response plans, minimizing impact and ensuring rapid resolution. • Identify, assess, and mitigate security threats, vulnerabilities, and risks, applying frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK, NIST CSF, and CIS Controls. • Manage and optimize security tools and solutions, including firewalls, endpoint protection, intrusion detection/prevention systems, vulnerability scanners, and identity/access management platforms. • Conduct security audits, assessments, and penetration tests to ensure compliance with internal policies and industry regulations (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA). • Implement and maintain cloud security best practices across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP environments, including IAM policies, encryption, logging, and monitoring. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote cybersecurity awareness, conduct training, and implement secure workflows and practices. • Document and report on security incidents, findings, and remediation efforts to leadership, ensuring actionable insights for continuous improvement. • Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies to strengthen organizational security posture. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Equivalent experience considered. • Proven experience in a cybersecurity role, preferably in enterprise or cloud environments. • In-depth knowledge of security protocols, encryption methods, threat detection, vulnerability management, and incident response. • Hands-on experience with security tools including SIEM, EDR, antivirus, firewall management, intrusion detection/prevention, and cloud-native security tools. • Familiarity with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP security services (e.g., AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty, Azure Defender, Cloud Security Posture Management). • Understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, HIPAA, ISO 27001, or NIST CSF. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and across departments. • Relevant certifications are a plus: CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or cloud security certifications (AWS/Azure Security Specialty).
