Summary The Help Desk and System Administrator is responsible for maintaining and supporting the organization’s IT infrastructure and providing technical assistance to end users. This role ensures the smooth operation of hardware, software, and network systems, while delivering high-quality support to internal staff. Responsibilities System Administration: • Responsible for all aspects of IT operations, including data architecture and integrity, on-premises infrastructure, cloud-based systems, and information security. • Administration of Microsoft 365 Admin Center (Intune, Entra, Exchange, Teams Phone System, SharePoint, Security) • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, IT best practices, and security standards. • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues across hardware, software, and network layers. • Maintain backups, disaster recovery plans, and system security protocols. • Maintain system documentation, procedures, and change management records. • Oversee cybersecurity protections and corresponding staff training. • Work with programs and departments to analyze, identify, and address their IT needs, challenges, and requirements. End User Support: • Manage the help desk and ensure reported issues are resolved promptly. • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support to staff via phone, email, and in-person. • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues. • Set up and configure desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals. • Train users on software applications, security practices, and IT policies. IT Asset Management: • Track and manage inventory of IT equipment and software licenses. • Coordinate procurement, deployment, and retirement of IT assets. • Evaluate technological equipment and software use to ensure functionality and efficiency. Documentation & Reporting: • Collaborate with the Learning and Impact Team to ensure optimum data collection for program evaluation and assessment. • Build and maintain relationships with external advisors and vendors. • Additional projects as requested. Qualifications / Skills • Sound understanding of computer systems, networks, security, telecommunications, databases and storage systems • Ability to multi-task, establish priorities, and meet deadlines, as well as work in a collaborative environment • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills • Team oriented Desired Education and Experience • 3+ years in a high-volume end user support position required • Relevant certifications required, such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert or Microsoft 365 Certified: Security OR Advanced knowledge in Office365, Azure, Microsoft Endpoint Manager/Intune, SharePoint • Advanced knowledge of networking principles (DNS, DHCP, VPN, Firewalls) and equipment (routers, switches, WIFI, etc.) • Experience with vulnerability scanning and remediation • Knowledgeable in the latest technology for IT systems and management highly preferred • Familiarity with CRM technology (EHR, SalesForce) highly desired Other Requirements • Employee must be able to commute between JFCS offices in Bala Cynwyd, Jenkintown, North Philadelphia, and NE Philadelphia to support employee and program needs • Employee must meet JFCS health and vaccination requirements • Employee must complete all required background checks required by Pennsylvania when working with access to children (Criminal, Child Abuse, and FBI clearances). • Employee must be a biker and open to riding with coworkers Job Type: Full-time Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year Benefits • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Employee assistance program • Flexible schedule • Flexible spending account • Health insurance • Life insurance • Paid time off • Parental leave • Professional development assistance • Retirement plan • Tuition reimbursement • Vision insurance Schedule: • Monday to Friday • Weekends as needed Work setting: • Hybrid work
