Responsibilities: - Develop, integrate, and manage storage arrays, fiber switches, backup solutions, and associated components - Monitor and report on data restore and disaster recovery capabilities, providing recommendations for improvements and efficiencies. - Oversee and maintain data backup solutions to ensure mission objectives are met. - Research, design, and implement file-sharing technologies that meet customer requirements. - Troubleshoot and resolve advanced storage issues and deficiencies. - Perform routine equipment checks and preventative maintenance on systems and storage solutions. - Conduct storage analysis, capacity planning, and performance planning for storage components. - Create and maintain operational procedures and documentation related to both new and existing technologies. - Develop and maintain policies and procedures that support the operational storage environment. - Contribute to the design, refinement, and continuous improvement of storage policies and procedures. - Prepare and present reports on best practices for storage administration, emerging technologies, and recommended optimizations. Minimum Requirements: - 3+ years of professional experience in systems engineering, including the evaluation, integration, and management of enterprise-level storage and backup software technologies. - 2+ years of hands-on experience managing enterprise SAN (Storage Area Network), including technologies such as Fiber Channel zoning, iSCSI, FCoE (Fiber Channel over Ethernet), HBA/CNA (Host Bus Adapter/Converged Network Adapter), storage controllers, LUN (Logical Unit Number), RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Disks), and NAS (Network Attached Storage). - Experience with enterprise hierarchical storage system management and enterprise backup/restore services, including products like Veritas NetBackup, AWS Backup, or Microsoft Azure Recovery Services/Site Recovery. Requirements: - Active Secret clearance or higher - Sensitivity Level: IT-I – Critical Sensitive (Tier 5/SSBI) - IA Level: IAT-II - 2+ years hands-on experience working with Department of Defense (DoD) IT systems. - Computing Environment - “8570 DLA Approved CS CE List”: AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, NetApp Certified Hybrid Cloud Administrator, NetApp Certified Hybrid Cloud Architect, NetApp Certified hybrid Cloud Implementation Engineer, Pure Storage Certified Data Storage Associate, Pure Storage Certified FlashArray Implementation Specialist, Pure Storage Certified FlashArray Storage Professional
