This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing complex enterprise data solutions to support analytics and decision-making in the healthcare domain. The ideal candidate is a highly skilled architect with a strong understanding of modern cloud platforms, data modeling, analytics, and healthcare data integration. ⸻ Key Responsibilities • Design and maintain relational and multidimensional database systems to support large-scale data projects. • Lead the architecture and development of enterprise data models, data warehouses, and data lakes. • Oversee data acquisition strategies, archiving, recovery, and storage solutions. • Implement database optimization techniques and ensure data integrity and performance across environments. • Leverage cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) for deploying and managing data infrastructure. • Architect and optimize ETL pipelines, especially using Informatica and Snowflake. • Ensure compliance with EIR accessibility standards, enabling accessible UI for all users. • Drive the integration of healthcare data standards such as FHIR, HL7, and CCDA. • Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies including AI, machine learning, and real-time streaming. • Collaborate with data engineers, developers, and analysts to ensure scalable and sustainable architecture. • Create and maintain metadata registries and documentation for governance and audit purposes. ⸻ Required Qualifications • 10+ years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, and warehousing. • Deep knowledge of business intelligence, advanced analytics, and big data platforms. • Proficient in SQL, ETL tools, and data integration technologies/APIs. • Strong experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and cloud-native data tools. • Proven leadership in managing advanced analytics projects and cross-functional collaboration. • Familiarity with healthcare data standards (FHIR, HL7, CCDA). • Experience with EHR integration and real-time data streaming. • Ability to communicate complex data strategies to non-technical stakeholders. • Hands-on experience designing and implementing Snowflake-based cloud data architecture. • Understanding of data governance, metadata management, and security best practices. ⸻ Preferred Qualifications • Experience with Python, Java, or Scala for data applications. • Background in healthcare IT or public health data systems. • Familiarity with TOGAF or other enterprise architecture frameworks. • Certifications in cloud solutions architecture (Azure, AWS, GCP). • Experience in hybrid cloud deployments and migration strategies. • Strong facilitation, consulting, and leadership skills. ⸻ Additional Requirements • Must already reside within a 50-mile radius of Austin, TX. • Must pass background check and may require after-hours support for urgent issues. • Must adhere to HHSC security and privacy standards, including accessibility compliance. • Position may require on-site attendance 3 days/week; schedule subject to change. ⸻ Requirements Minimum Requirements: Candidates that do not meet or exceed the minimum stated requirements (skills/experience) will be displayed to customers but may not be chosen for this opportunity.
