A Detailed Look at the Role As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be a cornerstone of our client’s technology team. You will be entrusted with the design, implementation, and maintenance of their cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. Your deep understanding of both development and operations will be critical in driving projects that enhance system reliability, reduce deployment times, and improve overall operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities: • CI/CD Pipeline Mastery: Design, build, and maintain robust, secure, and scalable continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Your goal will be to automate the entire software delivery process, from code commit to production deployment. • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Leverage tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation to manage and provision infrastructure through code. This ensures consistency, repeatability, and version control for all environments. • Cloud Management & Optimization: Take ownership of the cloud environment (AWS, Azure, or GCP), focusing on cost management, performance monitoring, and security hardening. Implement best practices for resource utilization. • System Monitoring & Reliability: Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Datadog. Proactively identify and address system issues to ensure high availability and performance. • Collaboration & Mentorship: Work closely with development teams to embed DevOps practices into the software development lifecycle. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment. • Security Integration: Integrate security practices into the DevOps workflow (DevSecOps), ensuring vulnerability scanning, secret management, and compliance checks are an integral part of the pipeline. Who We Are Looking For: The Ideal Candidate Profile This is a senior-level position requiring a professional with a proven track record of designing and managing complex DevOps ecosystems. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver, an automation enthusiast, and a collaborative team player. Required Qualifications & Experience: • A minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or infrastructure-focused role. • Expert-level knowledge of at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform). Relevant certifications are a significant plus. • Deep, hands-on experience with configuration management and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet. • Proven mastery in building and managing CI/CD pipelines with tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or Azure DevOps. • Strong proficiency with containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes. • Solid scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell. • In-depth understanding of networking concepts, security protocols, and system administration (Linux/Windows).
