Vice President, IT Cloud and DevOps Manager Overview We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Vice President, IT Cloud and DevOps Manager to lead our cloud and DevOps strategy while managing a small, highly skilled team. This position is ideal for a leader who thrives in a player-coach role, combining strong technical expertise with the ability to mentor and inspire others. The individual will drive innovation across cloud infrastructure, application development, and AI initiatives, while ensuring security, scalability, and efficiency. Responsibilities • Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of engineers while remaining hands-on in architecture, design, and implementation. • Define and execute cloud and DevOps strategy with a focus on modernization, automation, and cost efficiency. • Re-platform legacy applications into cloud-native and serverless architectures. • Partner with development teams to implement CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and infrastructure-as-code practices. • Oversee cloud security, compliance, and governance across AWS and Azure services. • Champion AI and automation initiatives to improve operational performance and application capabilities. • Manage Cloud Financial Operations, ensuring efficient resource use and executive-level reporting. • Build and integrate monitoring, alerting, and performance optimization systems. • Stay current on emerging technologies, bringing thought leadership to the IT organization. • Follow a hybrid in-office schedule (3 days on-site, Monday and Friday remote). • Be available to support after-hours work when required (nights and weekends). Qualifications • 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud engineering, and DevOps, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required. • Hands-on expertise with AWS services (EC2, VPC, Lambda, API Gateway, Fargate/EKS, RDS, S3, Route 53, etc.). • Proficiency in C#, Python, and scripting (PowerShell preferred). • Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps preferred) and infrastructure-as-code (CloudFormation and Terraform required). • Strong knowledge of cloud security, compliance, and vulnerability management. • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and cloud integrations is a plus. • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. • Relevant certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, etc.) preferred. • Multi-cloud experience (AWS and Azure) strongly desired. • Experience with systems engineering (Windows, Linux, virtualization) is a plus. • Background in SOC1/SOX regulated environments and experience adhering to compliance and cybersecurity standards preferred.
