Role: Data Warehouse/BI Developer Client: Virginia Government Location : Richmond, VA (Hybrid) Job Description: ON SITE: 2 days/week required. Parking not provided ABOUT THE ROLE Supplement division staff by executing existing metric procedures for statutory and ad hoc reporting as well as data discrepancy assessment and resolution. Develop end-to-end automation framework and documentation to load data and query results to SQL Server tables using standard Microsoft products. Build, validate, document, and implement end-to-end process using automation framework to load vendor-provided data and other division data, to calculate regulatory and division metrics, and to perform data quality checks and address geographies coding. Train division staff on use and maintenance of automation framework. Job Type: Contract Pay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour Experience: • using APIs: 8 years (Preferred) • using Census Geocoder: 8 years (Preferred) • work under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines: 8 years (Preferred) • Ability to analyze data, identify issues: 8 years (Preferred) • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related: 4 years (Preferred) • software development/programming: 8 years (Preferred) • SQL, SQL Server, and related Microsoft products: 8 years (Preferred) • developing ETL and using Microsoft Visual Studio: 8 years (Preferred) • Python and one or more business intelligence tools: 8 years (Preferred) • leading a project: 8 years (Preferred) • writing clear, concise, and comprehensive document: 8 years (Preferred) • creating data quality checks: 8 years (Preferred) • developing a high level plan with estimate: 8 years (Preferred) • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail: 8 years (Required) Ability to Commute: • Richmond, VA 23173 (Preferred) Work Location: In person
