The Azure Storage team delivers object storage (Azure Blob Storage), shared storage (Azure Files) and block storage (Azure Disks) to enable developers to build scalable, durable, and highly available cloud native and AI applications and persist data for their container and Virtual Machine (VM) workloads. These capabilities form both our public Azure Storage platform, as well as the foundation of service and product offerings across Microsoft including CoPilot, Office, Windows, Xbox, and many more. We are looking for a Product Manager II - Azure Storage to help drive critical components of the Object storage service. As a Product Manager II - Azure Storage, you will be responsible for understanding the needs and challenges of customers, driving the product vision and strategy, and collaborating with engineering teams to deliver innovative and impactful features and solutions. Responsibilities - Understand the scenarios, workloads, and the deep technical storage requirements associated with our largest and most complex customers. Close the product feedback loop between customers and engineering. - End-to-end ownership of feature and capability delivery through while collaborating with engineering teams for design, planning, and delivery; coordinating cross-functional teams for launch; driving product adoption, growth, and retention through effective go-to-market strategies, product positioning, and messaging, and continuously measuring/monitoring product performance, usage, and feedback, to iterate based on data-driven insights. - Understand the storage market landscape, customer pain points, and competitive offerings. - Define and evangelize the product vision, strategy, and value proposition to internal and external stakeholders, including customers, partners, analysts, and media. - Provide direct engineering engagement with our largest and most complex storage customers. - Produce relevant collateral, architecture examples, and best practice guides. - Be the trusted advisor, and subject matter expert (SME) to our customers for all questions related to Azure Blob Storage. Qualifications Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree AND 2+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development - OR equivalent experience. - 2+ years of experience with storage, API (application programming interface) platforms, integrations, or infrastructure products aimed at highly technical users Other Requirements: - Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. Preferred Qualifications: - 1+ year(s) of experience in large-scale data migration solutions, and storage protocols, clients, tools, application programming interfaces (API), libraries, and software development kits (SDKs). - 1+ year(s) of proficiency in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML) workload patterns including training, fine-tuning, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). - 1+ year(s) of work with object storage services and platforms, as well as long-term retention and archiving solutions including tape. - 1+ year(s) of proficiency with high-performance network-attached filers and filesystems, along with on-premises Storage Area Network (SAN) and Network Attached Storage (NAS) solutions. Product Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.
