Job Title: Cloud Engineer Location: Austin, Texas (Onsite – as determined by SHI management) Compensation: $100,000 – $130,000 annually (based on experience, skills, and location) Job Overview SHI International Corp is looking for a skilled Cloud Engineer to join our internal Product Team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in Microsoft Azure, with a strong focus on Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), automation scripting (Python), and containerization (Docker). In this role, you will collaborate with development, DevOps, and security teams to design, automate, and maintain secure, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud-native solutions. Key Responsibilities • Design, implement, and manage Azure-based cloud infrastructure with a focus on scalability and reliability. • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform. • Automate provisioning and configuration tasks through Python scripting. • Build and optimize Docker container environments and support orchestration tools. • Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure performance, ensuring uptime and reliability. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into secure cloud solutions. • Implement and enforce Azure IAM, RBAC, and cloud security best practices. • Maintain detailed technical documentation, including runbooks and architectural diagrams. • Stay updated on Azure service advancements and industry tools related to automation, IaC, and DevOps. Required Skills & Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience. • 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure (VMs, networking, storage, Key Vault, Azure Monitor). • Proven experience in writing Terraform modules and managing infrastructure pipelines. • Hands-on experience in Python scripting for automation. • Proficiency in Docker (image creation, optimization, container management). • Knowledge of cloud security principles, IAM, and RBAC. • Experience with Git and CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions). • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies. • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills. • Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-204, AZ-305) strongly preferred. Preferred Qualifications • Exposure to Kubernetes or Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). • Experience with multi-cloud platforms (AWS, GCP). • Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana. • Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
