Our client is seeking a highly accomplished Lead Information Security Engineer to take ownership of their security infrastructure and strategy. This critical role will involve designing, implementing, and managing robust security systems to safeguard sensitive data and intellectual property. You will be at the forefront of threat detection, prevention, and response, working with cutting-edge technologies to maintain a secure environment. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a deep technical understanding of modern security challenges and solutions. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design, deployment, and ongoing management of enterprise-wide security solutions, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, EDR, and DLP systems. Develop and implement comprehensive security policies, procedures, and standards. Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration tests. Manage and orchestrate incident response activities, including investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery. Collaborate with IT operations and development teams to embed security best practices into all aspects of the technology stack. Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies, and recommend proactive measures. Develop and deliver security awareness training programs. Automate security processes where possible to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Mentor junior security engineers and analysts. Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Master's degree or equivalent experience preferred. 8+ years of progressive experience in information security engineering and architecture. Proven experience in leading security projects and teams. Expertise in network security, cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP), endpoint security, and application security. Strong understanding of security frameworks, such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001, and SOC 2. Hands-on experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, vulnerability management tools, and encryption technologies. Excellent scripting and automation skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell). Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC, or equivalent. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking capabilities. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels. This is a fully remote position, but you will be contributing to the security posture of our client's operations in **Orlando, Florida, US** and beyond.
