Job Description: Security Analyst – Cybersecurity Architecture & Sales Engineering Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Security Analyst with a unique blend of SOC operations experience and cybersecurity sales engineering expertise. This individual will bridge the gap between technical execution and customer-facing solution design—bringing credibility from hands-on SOC work (Tier 1–3) while demonstrating and architecting modern cybersecurity platforms including EDR, XDR, and SIEM/SOAR. This role is ideal for a security professional who thrives in both the war room and the boardroom—able to defend against active threats while articulating and demonstrating security solutions to clients, prospects, and partners. Key Responsibilities Security Architecture & Engineering • Design, implement, and optimize cybersecurity architectures for clients leveraging EDR, XDR, SIEM, SOAR, and related platforms. • Conduct proof-of-concepts (POCs), demos, and technical workshops showcasing security platforms. • Partner with engineering and SOC teams to refine use cases, detection logic, and automation workflows. SOC Experience & Operational Expertise • Apply Tier 1–3 SOC analyst knowledge to validate, tune, and demonstrate detection and response capabilities. • Provide insights into attacker TTPs (Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures) and how to counter them using modern security stacks. • Assist in developing and refining SOC operational playbooks. Sales Engineering & Client Engagement • Serve as the technical lead during pre-sales engagements—aligning client needs with security solutions. • Deliver compelling product demonstrations and articulate complex technical capabilities in clear business terms. • Collaborate with account executives and business development teams to win new business. • Provide subject matter expertise during RFP/RFI responses and solution architecture sessions. Qualifications & Experience Required: • 2-3+ years of SOC analyst experience (Tier 1, Tier 2 required; Tier 3 strongly preferred). • Hands-on expertise with EDR platforms (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Carbon Black, etc.). • Deep understanding of XDR and SIEM/SOAR solutions (Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, Elastic, Exabeam, Palo Alto Cortex, etc.). • Strong grasp of incident response, threat hunting, vulnerability management, and security operations. • Proven ability to conduct technical demos and present to both technical and executive stakeholders. Preferred: • Experience in cybersecurity architecture and solution design. • Familiarity with compliance frameworks (CMMC, ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA, NIST CSF). • Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, GCIH, GCIA, OSCP, CEH, or Security+. • Prior sales engineering or pre-sales technical consulting experience.
