Within Foundry Agent Platform, the Agent Observability team is focused on developing advanced tools and platforms to monitor, evaluate, and optimize AI agent performance. We are seeking a passionate and skilled Software Engineer to join the Agent Observability UI team—responsible for designing and building intuitive, powerful user interfaces that make complex agent data accessible and actionable. In This Role, You Will • Build User Interfaces (UIs) that harness AI-powered agents to deliver automatic insights, intelligent alerts, and anomaly detection—enabling users to proactively monitor and optimize agent performance. Develop customizable, AI-augmented dashboards that adapt to diverse user needs and workflows, elevating the observability experience with automation and personalization. • Apply user-centered design thinking to transform intricate agent telemetry and evaluation data into clear, actionable dashboards and visualizations that empower users to make informed decisions. • Collaborate closely with backend engineers, data scientists, site reliability engineers (SREs), and product managers to gather requirements, iterate on features, and deliver seamless, end-to-end user experiences. • Communicate effectively within a cross-functional, innovative team—contributing to technical discussions, code reviews, and shared problem-solving to drive the platform forward. Responsibilities • Identify requirements, scope solutions, estimate work, and schedule deliverables • Apply engineering principles to establish robust and maintainable architecture and designs • Promote and drive the adoption of good coding standards and patterns • Develop software using languages such as TypeScript, React, and others • Collaborate with partner teams to comprehend, define, enhance, and develop Azure AI and Observability capabilities • Respond, resolve, and integrate customer feedback with agility and dedication • Lead by example, adhering to best engineering practices, raising the quality bar, and improving the team's response to customer incidents Qualifications Required Qualifications: • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python • OR equivalent experience. • 4+ years experience with React • 4+ years experience with TypeScript Other Requirements Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
